Sweet corn is one of my absolute favorite too grow in the garden not just that it’s super good too eat it’s easy too harvest and your garden gets a lot of corse organic material in the fall too work in too the soil creating the perfect home for microorganisms.

This corn is started inside around the first week of May and normally planted out at the end of the month but the last spring and frost pushed it until now.

We grown 3 varieties of super sweet sweet corn an 1 of a desert corn that is all white that is even sweeter and perfect the way it is directly of the plant no need to cook it even.

110 days after seeding it’s time to harvest so for us it’s usually mid too end off august and then hopefully for 2 months.

We also harvest baby corn that is secondary cobs that don’t mature and they are soo tasty just pickling and enjoy all winter.

This year we are almost double the amount of corn that we grown after not having enough previous years so this year we are planting almost 4000 plants grown like this in the greenhouse.
