Biggest harvest ever of Oca Oxalis tuberosa
Before you grew them like u do with potatoes tiling the soil around them. And it’s not a bad method but this new one is even better.
Started the tubers inside our greenhouse in medium big seeding pots until they sprout. Planting outside after the risk of frost is over for us usually the 3 week in may. We used a group tarp call mypex and that is developed for nurseries and is heavy duty and you can reuse them more then 15 years running, depending on your crop u burn a hole in the tarp accord to the with for us 30 cm between the rows and 30 cm between each plant. Plants grow fast and u can harvest leafs and flowers all summer for your salads, after the frost have taken the parts of the plant that is about ground you leave it for about 4 weeks until u harvest to give the tubers time to form and get big.
Most of them are forms under the tarp but above the soil and the rest in the top cm of soil making harvesting real easy
