Heifers in heat
That is the period that comes every 3 weeks for adult and young cows or heifers when they are able too conceive.
It is split in too 3 stages and we are looking for stage 2 when the female is standing still when other animals try to mount her, that is wen we call in for a visit and we are hoping she goes in to after heat before the vet show up and does the insemination witch is the most optimum time.
Using insemination is a great was to get in new genetics in too your flock with out risking any potential pathogens thar you don’t want.
