King quail

Ever seen 2 dozen Chinese painted quail eggs? Now you have also named King quail these super small birds lay a lot of eggs and sometimes even try to brood them. They lay more eggs then the mum to be can sit on so we put the surplus in the incubator to build up our numbers, so far we only have a trio of one Male and two female plus after today 4 small chicks. I’m absolutely in love with these miniature eggs and hope to get some extra soon so I can try them. Mostly a ornamental bird I’m surprised how productive they are, a lot of different colormorfs exist so people have been breeding them for a long time. Everytime you get a new species it can take a few years too get to know them and what they like/ don’t like, so far so good but if you have any tips please leave a comment below
