Snow covered kale
During winter snow is a gardeners friend, when you have a layer of snow on your winter veggies it acts like a blanket protecting the plants from the real hard weather.
Under the snow it’s very stable temperature and the leafs are protected from the sun that can burn them. Wind especially when it picks up sand or soil is very destructive for the leafs so having a thick white snow layer in the garden makes me smile especially when it’s blue sky and sunshine
