Evert gardener’s dream comes true at the botanical garden in Cape Town Kirstenbosch.
First pic is of yours truly with the worlds most southern Baobab tree moved from Limpopo in northern South Africa.
This botanical garden is so big so this is a two part post with this one only focus on the greenhouse with this amazing tree and the biggest collection of Welwitschia from Namibia, most botanical gardens are happy too have one maybe two specimens, here it’s a entire wing full of them.
Totally amazed seeing all of this, when I was in training I interned at all Swedens botanical gardens and hope to work in one of them one day. Going on expeditious collecting new and previously unknown species too document, life wanted different for me so seeing places like this always makes me feel right at home
